A Zillion Easter Pictures

I just decided to post all the Easter festivities together, even though there are a ton of pictures. I can't just choose a few!

Easter Egg Dying

(Her shirt is all wet b/c she likes to drink water and spit it on herself.)

Easter Morning

Spring Jubilee

Chess participated in the Easter egg hunt and got 2 beautiful eggs.

I had to keep her from being stepped on.

It was very crowded.

Chess entertained the lady in front of us by doing this.

No toppa-head, but that's okay.

She likes to hold things in her mouth.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Okay, I got it."

"Thanks for the help, Dad."

"Another one?"

Baby Will

Congratulations to my sister, Amy, and family! William Turner Whitmire was born April 8 and weighed 9 lbs 13 oz. They are happy and healthy at home now.

You've probably already heard the news, but if you haven't...

I'm pregnant!

Baby Thompson #2 will be arriving around October 28. Chess and the baby will be 18 months apart.

Yes, we want to find out the sex of the baby, but we don't care if it's a boy or a girl.

I am feeling tired a lot and nauseous, just like I did with Chess, but thankfully am not really sick like some women get.

We are very excited and happy!

Is it Halloween yet?

Ok, I don't really want Halloween to be here already, but I did just finish this Halloween project. This is Chess's trick-or-treat bag. I am really proud of it because I created it all on my own! No tutorials or anything. I dreamed it up right out of my own head (after browsing online and not finding anything I liked). There's a first time for everything, right?

This is the first time I've every hand-embroidered something. I drew the letters with a fabric pencil, then just stitched them. I think it turned out whimsical and cute.

11 Months Old

Here she is standing by herself!

St. Patrick's Day

To start off the day, Chess had her first dentist appointment! I got a flier for this great pediatric dentist that does free check-ups for babies under one. Chess really loved the dentist and didn't cry at all while she examined her and brushed her teeth.

Family

My dad's brother, Jim, and his family came to visit from Chicago. Here are few pictures of our get-together.

All We Got

A few weeks ago, Georgia had a big snow. Just a few miles down the road there were inches and inches of the white stuff. But our yard barely got anything except a wet slush. So here is a picture of Chess in her first "snow."

Maybe next year.

Crawling Footage

This is from a few weeks ago, but I thought Chess's Utah grandparents would want to see her crawling. This was right before bed, so she is a little fussy. Don't turn the volume up too loud b/c I make a loud noise at the end, and it might scare you.
