Chess was reading this book with a squeakable soccer ball.


She could not get the ball to squeak no matter how hard she tried...


until she bit down with all her might. She got it to squeak several times actually. She's got a strong bite.

I made some more stuff.

Hooded Froggy Towel


Chess is extremely too big for her baby towels, so I made this one. The basic pattern I used is here.

Hat

Happy early birthday to my sister Andrea! Find instructions here (only adapt sizes for an adult - duh).

End Table (I mean box) Covers

Yes, we use food storage boxes as our end tables. No link for this one - I created it out of my own mind which is much more difficult to do. That's why these are uneven and very sloppy.

Bibs

I know twin boys turning one soon, and I've been wanting to make some bibs, so here they are. They are Georgia fans if you can't tell. And yes, I know the black one is misshapen!


They packaged up quite nicely though, I think.

Fabric Coasters

I have never found coasters I liked that I was willing to pay for. Then I came across this blog entry.

Sunny Day

Chess and I love to sit in the sun shining through the glass door. It has been cold lately! These are pictures I took on the same day as the video of Chess playing with her shadow.

Aquatic Center

We were missing the pool, so we took a January swim inside the Bethesda Aquatic Center. It was a lot of fun. Chess was a little nervous at first (as you can see in the first picture), but she warmed up to the water pretty quickly.

Note: She is wearing a size 2T bathing suit!

How Chess Gets Around

Chess is still not crawling, but she is getting around just fine. This is her latest form of transportation.

Chess found her shadow.
