The tooth had been loose for about a month. The time had come. That thing was barely hanging on.
She let me tie the floss string on without a problem. We were just "trying it out" to see how it felt.
She let Daddy look at it and access the situation.
Then we started talking about pulling it out and she had a bit of a meltdown. She ran upstairs, crying. A while later, she came down and said Daddy could yank it out in the bathroom. She was worried about it bleeding (we had watched a few youtube videos of kids getting their teeth pulled).
So we went to the bathroom, Daddy pulled the string, and....it slipped off the tooth. Nervous laughter ensued. I tied it on tighter this time. Daddy yanked again - it worked!
She was in shock at first. It's pretty crazy to lose a body part that's been with you for as long as you can remember.
She then got excited and smiled for some pictures.
Checking out her new smile.
The tooth fairy came!
The second tooth followed a few weeks later. She was ready for it this time. My Chess is growing up too fast!
