Our Snow Days, 2014

It has been three years since the girls have seen snow and they have been wanting it so bad.  Well, we finally got some.  We were all so excited!  We had about and inch or two and we really made the most of it.  Here are some pictures of our three days with snow on the ground.

Yellow River Game Ranch

This peacock was running away from some guy and it almost ran into Lera when she wasn't looking - she turned around and there it was!  It scared her, so she is backing up quickly in the photo.

I had a bag with a little corn still in it in my hand.  This goat yanked it right out, spilled the corn, and started munching the bag!  He ate the whole thing!  Me and the girls were cracking up!

This was the girls' first time on an old-fashioned merry-go-round.  I don't think they make these anymore.  They had SO MUCH fun on this.  Chess was running and pushing the thing - it had about 20 kids on it!  Kids were falling off left and right, getting stepped on, it was great. :)  Seriously, they had a blast.

Wordless Wednesday

How to put Lera in the Freezer

Date

New Year's Eve

For New Year's Eve we went to Jared's brother Trevor's house.  Grandma and Grandpa had just gotten back from their trip to Africa and shared all their pictures and stories with the family.  It was a lot of fun!

Chess and Lera got baby doll cradles from Grandma and Grandpa.

Hugs!

Lalaloopsies from Aunt Lorraine.

Aunt Kellie

Playing the drums.

We didn't think we would make it until midnight, but the girls were hanging in there and playing well.  At about 10:30 Lera made herself cozy in the living room and fell right to sleep.  Grandma and Grandpa and sleeping on the couch behind her!

Chess stayed up until midnight for the first time!

Happy 2014!

Family Day

These are the best kinds of days.  Spending quality time with the people I love most.
