Baby Raven

I have a new little niece, Raven Mint Saxton.  She was born on November 12 and weighed 5 lbs 12 oz.  Andrea is a natural at being a mom and is adapting well to no sleep, as Raven has decided to sleep all day and be wide awake and unhappy all night. :)

Go ahead and laugh at this last picture if you want, but I was not about to let a cold get in the way of me holding my newest niece!

By the way, I do not know how doctors can stand to wear those masks for long periods of time.  I was gasping for oxygen after wearing it a few minutes!

Darby Update

Our fundraisers are all over now.  The total of donations received and money raised through the Dollars for Darby fundraisers is currently $17,693.  I am amazed.  That is a number I didn't think we would be able to reach.  So many people have given of their time, money, prayers, and more.  I have grown and learned so much from watching the people around me being selfless and giving.  Thank you to everyone and especially the awesome women I have been working with behind the scenes.  You are all an inspiration to me.

Now, to update you on Darby's status.  Her chemotherapy treatments are all done, but unfortunately, some of her test results came back still showing some leukemia in her system.  The doctors are not sure what their plan of action will be.  Read Lindsey's full explanation here.  Please continue to keep Darby and her family in your prayers.  They are not finished with this battle yet.

You can still donate, if you wish, at dollarsfordarby.blogspot.com.

Here are a few pictures from our events:

Halloween

My precious little 80's rockers are ready to go.

Even cuter from the back.

Arriving at the church trunk-or-treat.

Me with the girls and the bags I made them.

Always on the move.

Getting candy from our friend, Melissa.

With Daddy.

Favorite candy: suckers.  Why do kids like suckers so much?  I guess it's so the moms can eat all the chocolate.

The next day we headed to the square to do some trick-or-treating at businesses.

Lera's first sucker.

She would not release her grip on that thing until it was gone.

Chess had to have one, too, of course.

We're so glad Mimi could come with us!

Our One-Year-Old

Lera's birthday present from Momma, Daddy, and Chess.

Getting ready for the party.

Not quite what I had in mind when I started, but still cute, and very delicious.

Birthday girl in her birthday outfit.

She just kinda picked at her cake.

I think it was so big, she didn't really know how to eat it.

She liked it a little more when I cut up some pieces for her.

First Cabbage Patch Kid from Mimi and Poppy, and lots of other great gifts.
Thanks, everyone!

Darby's Fundraisers

We had awesome success at Darby's yard sale this Saturday.  So many people donated, set up, baked, cleaned, sorted, bought items, and so much more.  It was amazing to see everyone working together for the Farnsworth family.  We raised over $4,300!

Me with Darby at the sale.

We still have two more fundraisers left.  I need your help to spread the word!  Please email your friends or write about Darby on your blog, facebook page, or twitter.  Here is some info about the fundraisers to cut and paste if you want:

*SERIES OF ONLINE AUCTIONS-beginning today, Monday, November 8th. We've had such an incredible response from businesses and individuals willing to donate to the auctions. There are over 80 goods and services to bid on. There truly is something for everyone. This could be a great way to get some of those items knocked off of your Christmas list early while supporting a great cause at the same time.  Go to: dollarsfordarby.blogspot.com

*RITA'S NIGHT-Monday, November 8th from 6-9 p.m. Rita's Italian Ice in Suwanee, GA will donate a portion of their proceeds from the evening to the Dollars for Darby fund. 340 Town Center Avenue, Unit A-4 Suwanee GA.

We are mailing items from the auction anywhere in the U.S. so please pass the word around to everyone.  Thank you so much for your help!

Camp Out

We had a great time camping out at Vogel a couple of weeks ago.  The weather was PERFECT.  We went with my parents and my sister, Andrea, and her husband, Mikel.

Bringing Lera's high chair was the best idea I've ever had.  Seriously, we would have been struggling trying to feed her in our laps for every meal.

Chess loved riding in the back of the truck.

Love this girl.

So sweet.
