Chess's Birthday!

Chess shares a birthday with Elise, so we went to Chick-fil-a to celebrate.  They really know how to treat a kid on her special day!

I gave Chess this doll for her birthday.  Her name is Jennie Gymnast and she used to be mine 20+ years ago!  She does flips and gymnastics tricks with a remote control and she still works perfectly.  Chess loves her and said, "This is a perfect gift for a 5-year-old!"

Chess requested pancakes for her birthday breakfast.

Me and my 5-year-old.

We got to go to Catch Air for Elise's birthday party.

A picture with the birthday penguin.

She got to pick out a present at Toys-R-Us with her birthday money.

About to blow out another candle on her dinner choice of waffles!

Trying to blow the candle out with her nose!

Cute little sister.

The waffles were easier to just pick up and eat!

I can't believe my little girl is 5!  We are so thankful to have her in our family.

Baby Saryn is born!

I have a new niece!  Saryn Pershephone was born on April 11.  She is so beautiful and squishy and perfect.  Andrea was amazing!

Big sister, Raven, in the waiting area.

Chess LOVES holding the baby!

Lera loved seeing her tiny fingers, nose, feet, and other tiny parts!

Love her!

The Farm

We had the opportunity to visit three farms through our local food co-op.  These farms all supply different foods for the co-op, so it was really neat to visit and see where some of our food comes from.

The girls with the hogs.

Lera, making herself comfortable with the goats.

Chess loved feeding the goats.

A pretty white horse.

This visit really made me want a goat!

The next farm had chickens!  I also really want my own chickens.

The last stop was a dairy farm.  It was very interesting to learn about the cows and where our milk comes from.
