Thanksgiving in the Mountains

This year we were able to go to the North Georgia mountains and stay in a cabin for Thanksgiving! We stayed at our favorite place, Vogel. Other family members stayed in cabins, too, or came up to eat with us. It was very fun! Enjoy the many pictures below.

Ever wonder how much stuff you need to pack for two adults and a baby for three days?

Our most important item is packed in and ready to go!

unpacking all the stuff into our little cabin

Chess's first fire and hot dog roast - she enjoyed eating the bun.

We didn't realize how much this little one splashed until we gave her a bath in the sink.

in our cabin on Thanksgiving day

This is how Chess got around while we were there.

The family enjoyed many games of Corn Hole while we were there.

in front of Pappy's Country Store, where we got some delicious Vidalia Onion Steak Sauce!

the cutest picture of Nan-Naw and Paw-Paw!

Chess and I with Bailey, Halle, and Layne

Jared made our steaks on the stove because Chess got really tired. We didn't get to eat with the family by the fire, but it was still delicious!

See how much fun we had?!

Yall seriously take the best pictures!!! That steak sauce sounds yummy! I wish we did fun stuff like that! And thanks for helping me out today...got what i needed...btw the whole cloves were hidden behind some stuff and they were $10 for a little jar!! So when i got up to the check-out I told the lady that I changed my mind because it was too pricey and she said Oh we have little packets of them for 0.69!!! Say What???? It was a nice surprise.

I LOVE the picture of you and Chess sitting in the grass by the river! It is sooo cute! Your 4-Runner all packed up reminded me of mine when we took our trip to the beach. They looked exactly the same. Stuffed FULL! What will we do when we have more???

That looks awesome! Did you have steaks for Turkey Day? or was that another day? Either way you have an adorable family who does cool things.
