Is it Halloween yet?

Ok, I don't really want Halloween to be here already, but I did just finish this Halloween project. This is Chess's trick-or-treat bag. I am really proud of it because I created it all on my own! No tutorials or anything. I dreamed it up right out of my own head (after browsing online and not finding anything I liked). There's a first time for everything, right?

This is the first time I've every hand-embroidered something. I drew the letters with a fabric pencil, then just stitched them. I think it turned out whimsical and cute.

This bag is so cute!! You have become very creative. I'm jealous!! I'm in the process of making Kaylin two dresses. I'll try to post them when I finish.

Ali, you are so creative! I wish I could do that. I love it! You should sell stuff that you make. I would buy it!

You are very good at making things. I think you got that from your father. Yes, I am your father. I made a bag exactly like that the other day. I think you saw mine and copied it. In fact, my bag is now missing....what?

How adorable!!! I remember making trick-or-treat bags for Meagan and Sarah when Sarah was 1. I was so excited! I found a pattern for a bag that already had the picture on it. Then it had me make stuff animals of bats and cats and sew them on top of the picture to give a 3 dimensional effect. I loved them! I put their names and the date on them with puff paint. (1993) Later I passed Meagan's bag on to Lindsey and finally now they all just want to use pillow cases. Enjoy the fun crafts for them while they last!!! I still have their little bags and won't part with them!
