Utah Road Trip, Part Two: Orem, Provo and Lehi

When we got to Orem, we stayed with Jared's friend, Jamis.  They have three little girls, so our girls were in heaven playing there.  Here we are at Squaw peak.  We tried to point out how different the land was in each place we traveled through.  The mountains are so pretty here.

Jamis and Jared

We saw a para-glider take off.

Cute girls.
It was so kind of the Leepers to let us stay with them and do lots of fun activities with them.

The above and below pictures are with my college roommate, Mary Chambers.  We visited with here for a short time and once again, our girls had a blast together.  Mary's oldest son was at school.

Reminiscing.  Above is the dollar movie theater where Jared and I spent many dollars (but not together, b/c we didn't know each other at BYU).  Below is the place I lived during my senior year with Mary, Mary, and Melissa.  Top right was my window.

Walking through BYU's campus a little bit.

Utah Road Trip, Part One: From GA to Utah

We left our house at 1:00 am, all wired and unable to sleep.  The girls drifted back to sleep a couple hours into the trip.  Here they are enjoying lunch in the car.  We drove 15 hours this first day, and it was probably the easiest day of driving.  It went by quickly b/c we left in the night and all our car activities were new and exciting.

We decided to stop in St. Louis to stretch our legs and see the Arch.

Nap time for both girls once we were back on the road.

They read books, colored, and played.  I packed a lot of fun activities and games.  The back seat was like an explosion after that first day, and it stayed that way for most of the trip!

We made it to Omaha, NE!  We had dinner at Mary and Clint's and spent the night with them.  Good thing I called a few hours before we got there, b/c Mary thought we were coming the next day!

The next day we drove 14 hours.  We found an A&W at a Sinclair station in the middle of nowhere, and enjoyed some root beer freezes.

First and Last Day of Kindergarten

Chess's last day of kindergarten.  She was happy, but sad also.  She didn't want to leave Mrs. Troughton's class.  I don't blame her.  She has been the best teacher for my little girl.

Here is a first day and last day comparison.  I didn't think she had grown that much until I looked back at this picture!  Look at that sweet face!

Chess's Kindergarten End-of-Year Party

Mrs. Troughton is the BEST teacher and we all love her so much!  We are going to miss having her next year.  She has taught Chess so much and loved her, as well.

Her award was for giving the best"Warm-Your-Heart Hugs."

Lera had to jump up there and get a hug too!

What a fun party!

First Swim of the Year

Mimi and Poppy opened their new pool!  We all went over and had our first swim of the season.  It was freezing, but so fun!

Lera's Joy School Graduation

We've had a fun year with these cute kids!

Happy Mother's Day to me!

Sweet picture Lera made me

I also got some chocolates and balloons, as well as a nice breakfast from my girls and husband!
