"Wanna See Baby"

Chess is such a sweet big sister. The other morning Jared was watching Chess, and I had Lera in the bed with me trying to get a little more much-needed sleep. The next thing I knew I felt a little person climbing on the bed and heard a little voice saying, "Wanna see baby." Jared said he couldn't keep her away any longer - she wanted to come see us.

By the way, this is the first three-word phrase I've heard her say. She's been using lots of two-word phrases for awhile now. This little girl just turned 19 months old and she's talking all the time, saying tons of words, and copying everything we say. She is such a smart little thing! I know I am an excited, proud mom, but she can even identify almost all of the upper-case letters in the alphabet, only getting a few mixed up that look alike!

Anyway, back to being a cute big sister. She asked to hold Lera for the first time recently. This is how that event unfolded:

I was using my hand to hold up Lera.

Here is Chess trying to move my hand away.

I replaced my hand with a pillow.

She's much happier.

Now, whenever she wants to hold Lera, shes gets one of these pillows, runs over to sit on this couch, and says, "Help, pease. Baby."

Sweet sisters.

So cute. I remember that with my girls...girls are such great helpers! Pretty soon she's gonna ask to change her diaper (or do it while your not looking)- happened to me several times.
